Former Premier League football player jailed for seven-and-a-half-years.

Lucy Organ and Rosalind Earis successfully prosecute former Premier League footballer Richard Rufus who jailed for seven and a half years for defrauding friends and family out of £15m.

The 47-year-old claimed to be a successful foreign exchange trader headhunted by some of the UK’s largest financial organisations.

Rufus was found guilty of fraud, money laundering and carrying out a regulated activity without authorisation at Southwark Crown Court.
