Human Rights
Since the enactment of the Human Rights Act 1998, members of chambers have been deeply involved in the development of human rights in the domestic legal system.
We have been instructed in many landmark domestic cases involving the European Convention on Human Rights. Members have also acted, both for applicants and the United Kingdom Government, in proceedings before the European Court of Human Rights.
These cases have involved consideration of a wide variety of subjects including crime, extradition, immigration, and inquest proceedings.
