Tommy Robinson Committal Appeal

Today, Lady Carr CJ, Edis LJ and Warby LJ sitting in the Court of Appeal (Civil Division) dismissed an appeal brought by Stephen Yaxley-Lennon (also known as Tommy Robinson) against the length of his committal to prison for contempt of court. In October 2024, Johnson J committed Mr Yaxley-Lennon to prison for 18 months after he admitted deliberately and repeatedly breaching a court injunction preventing him publishing untrue allegations against a child refugee who had successfully sued him for libel.
