Smith, Hogan and Ormerod’s Criminal Law

This week marks the publication of the latest edition of Smith, Hogan, and Ormerod’s Criminal Law, authored by Professor David Ormerod QC and Karl Laird. Since the publication of the first edition in 1965, the book has been frequently cited by the courts of England and Wales and other common law jurisdictions. It is commonly regarded as the authoritative text on criminal law.
