Man is sentenced for possessing video teaching how to make an IED

Adam Mahmood has been sentenced to an extended sentence of a 4-year custodial period and a 3-year extension period for possession of a document or record likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism, contrary to section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000. Adam Mahmood was convicted by a jury after trial on 8 September 2025. Mr Mahmood was found to have demonstrated clear terrorist motivations and to present a significant risk of serious harm to the public.
