Alison Morgan QC and Ben Lloyd were instructed in the prosecution of John Letts and Sally Lane, who were found guilty of funding terrorism. Mr Letts and Ms Lane sent their son, Jack Letts, £223 in September 2015 while he was in Syria, despite concerns that he had joined the Islamic State group. Following a trial at the Old Bailey, Mr Letts and Ms Lane were each sentenced to 15 months’ imprisonment, suspended for 12 months.
