Maham joined chambers in October 2025, after completing her pupillage under the supervision of Ben Lloyd, Adam Payter, and Catherine Brown.
She accepts instructions across the full range of Chambers’ practice areas, including crime, regulatory and public law.
Prior to joining chambers, Maham spent two years at the Attorney General’s Office, where she advised the Law Officers on Attorney General’s References, unduly lenient sentences, consents to prosecute, inquests, and criminal contempt proceedings.
From 2020 to 2022, Maham was Judicial Assistant to the Lord Chief Justice of England & Wales, and Lord Justice Bean.
Crime
Maham is a Grade 1 CPS prosecutor and is regularly instructed as both prosecution and defence counsel in the Crown Court and magistrates’ courts, in trial and pre-trial matters. Maham has also defended clients in the Youth Court on a range of serious matters, including s.18 wounding with intent.
Proceeds of Crime, Asset Forfeiture & Financial Compliance
Maham is currently being led by David Perry KC and Will Hays, defending in a complex, high-value civil recovery case brought by the NCA.
Regulatory and Professional Discipline
Maham has experience acting for regulatory in professional discipline proceedings and is regularly instructed by the Nursing and Midwifery Council for interim and substantive hearings.
Public Law
Maham is a member of the Attorney General’s “Junior Junior” panel scheme. She has been instructed by the AGO to review and advise on referrals for contempt of court.
