The inquest touching on the death of Mr James Atkinson began yesterday before HM Senior Coroner Karen Dilks at Newcastle Coroners’ Court.
James died following an anaphylactic reaction shortly after eating a takeaway chicken tikka pizza bought from a restaurant via the Deliveroo platform. The pizza was found to contain peanut to which James was severely allergic.
